I just drove a 4Runner 6500 miles out to Utah and all around Colorado. High altitude and hot days. The 4Runner did fine.

That’s like comparing it to a Focus ST or a WRX. They’re very different.

I had an ND Miata RF for three years and I would agree with this. I could actually do more than you’d think with it. As long as I was alone, I could even cannibalize the passenger seat for a moderate sized Costco run.  The 86 is more practical in a similar-ish (at least) form factor.  We managed a long road trip

Great argument for gun control?

“My parents have an under funded pension, catastrophic health insurance, and drive used Toyotas!”

Two million net worth is definitely still coach level wealth.  It is way more than most people are worth, but way less than most people are going to give a shit about you flexing about.

You can get a Disco Sport for less than $60k last I checked, but that was before this crazy town market.

Have you been in one?  I haven’t.  We saw tons of them on a recent road trip and like you said, they just seemed like the Kia equivalent of a Highlander or whatever.  Are they really that great?

Are Boston-area car dealerships bad? I’ve bought a handful of cars around here and it wasn’t too much of a big deal. I wouldn’t say I ever got a deal, but most of them were new relatively high demand vehicles (WRX, Miata, 4Runner, etc). Never paid over MSRP at least.

The new Nine Inch Nails logo font adds 20% to the value!

This is what I don’t get. Max is one of the most aggressive drivers around. He’s yelling if he’s not screaming and throws his car around like a battle axe. It is serving him well this season, but this was just one small case where a driver didn’t duck out of his way and it didn’t go his way. A split second or a couple

I already like the hosts, but I’m not fronting money for another subscription to maybe get one show that I might like.

Pretty sure it was that sub where I had a long exchange with someone who didn’t know how traffic circles were supposed to work.  Many people in that sub don’t know what they think they know.

Carbon. Deposits.

Is there any reason to believe the damage to the studs wasn’t from when he was banging on them to remove the lugs?  Likely damaged them then and they popped off when trying to put things back together.

Wrong.

No.

Meanwhile, I live in an actual snooty neighborhood and we have a great selection of cars ranging from beat to shit Kias to new Defenders parked on the street. Jeep Gladiators are of course represented. A couple who are worth roughly a billion dollars between the two of them usually have a beat to shit Mercury Mariner

I figured it was near Cincinnati because I lived out there and hated it.

My biggest issue has been figuring out a way to wire in the dashcam and finding one that’s easy to remove.  I don’t like wires running all over the interior of my car.  I thought I had a solution, but Toyota apparently changed the wiring solution to the rearview mirror so the little jumpers people would get to plug in
