5-passenger compact and midsize crossovers are the new sedans...and sedans are the new coupes. Style, performance, luxury amenities...sedans need to offer something over their more popular CUV brethren in order to remain relevant.  I guess Toyota opted to go with the “look” of performance here.

FWIW, the next one will be boxier and it can’t come soon enough. The Gen 5 will be replacing the Gen 4 for MY21.

So annoyingly overcomplicated that folks will inevitably say “I drive an Audi” which in reality is what luxury brands want folks to do. Badge snobs always identify their personal vehicles by make, gearheads identify them by model. Luxury brands want the marque to stand above individual models which is why there’s so

Like you, I also am unable to fathom how or why one would shit on the interiors of current Jags whilst boasting about owning a Mondeo in a dress. Not that I have anything against the Mondeo/Fusion as I’ve always felt that Ford built a great car there, but at the end of the day it is what it is. Dude drives a Ford from

lolwut? The Fusion is absolutely available with the 2.0L. The only Lincoln exclusive is the 400/400 3.0L TT and even then, Ford built the 325/380 2.7L powered Sport from ‘17-’19.

I’m curious. How much did you spend on your last few beaters after everything was said and done, that is, the vehicle itself, tax on that vehicle, car insurance and maintenance?

The Edge only comes with a 250hp/280 ft-lbs 2.0L/8AT, how is that “significantly more power”, unless we’re talking about the ST which sits in a class all by itself and commands $50k.

lolwut? They’re selling every Navigator they can build, and the Aviator isn’t even out yet. FWIW the car is on its way out but the MKZ still regularly outsold the ATS and CTS combined.

Can you technically be “back” if you were never even here to begin with though?

Go-kart with airbags is how I always describe mine. Man I’m gonna miss my FiST when my lease is up this summer. We have the same car, J7 with the Rado grays. Nevermind being the best damned commuter I’ve ever owned, my ST is the most fun car I’ve ever parked in my garage and I’ve owned my fair share of toys.

Like I said I’m glad you love your car. For future reference when it comes to Ford, if you and your dealer agree on a price your rebates are protected all the way back to the date your order is input, that way you don’t miss out on any incentives which could potentially disappear.  Furthermore if your incentives

Difference being when you run out of gas or diesel while towing you simply pull into a gas station, fill up and boom, you’re back on the road in 15 minutes.  Not exactly the case with an EV.

Not to burst your bubble, but you just described a 201A with Nav. “Loaded to the gills” is more than a reach given that all EB Premiums come with leather heated and cooled seats as standard. BLIS, Shaker 12 speaker and memory seats are all part of 201A and Nav was a standalone that year but your car has no Perf Pack,

So in other words...Alfa gonna Alfa.

I know he’s a “Youtuber” and I’m not sure if he was just talking shit, but if you watch the vid he mentions to the troopers that he works in the oil fields. I’m sure his illegal shenanigans are part of it as well but sometimes stupid eats shit, trips and falls into the right line of work because someone’s Daddy knew

Bronco 2 and 4 door will be BOF, this has been confirmed by Ford. Baby Bronco will likely be unibody as there isn’t much demand in the subcompact/compact SUV/CUV segment for that much capability, and I don’t even think Ford has a BOF platform that would work for something that small.

See: 2015-2017 Ford Transit Driveshaft Coupling Recall. Jesus Christ that was a catastrophuck and a half. Huge replacement parts shortage and Ford saying the vans were safe up to (I believe) 30k miles so the vehicles that got priority were higher mileage vans already on the road, followed by lower mileage ones and

“Mazda’s only front-wheel-drive rotary car drivetrain.”

It’s a smart move on Ford’s part given how the US market is thirsty for crossovers. The EcoSport, Escape and Edge appeal to the “lifted car” crowd while the Baby Bronco, Bronco 2 door and Bronco 4 door appeal to those who want something a little more capable...or at the very least capable looking. Ford has seen how
