It wasn't all bad, and I did enjoy moments of it. But more often than not, it just left me feeling frustrated with the directions it went in, or at least the way it decided to get to its destination. I like this series best when I can chew through the whole thing at pace. I find it's failures a lot worse to bear when

yep. this series has completely gone to the toilet. I'm not coming back for more of this. Will probably just binge watch the next season once it is all done and dusted.

thanks for clearing that up.

Suspension of belief is a very interesting quality. Some movies and programs do it very well and create a fantasy or nightmare world, which while unrealistic, becomes a world you can relate to and live in. You can experience it as some sort of alternate reality which allows you to invest in it emotionally. At that

yeah like when Negan took all their guns..

I just realised, Gregory is probably the source of the leak..

and then they will hit a road block and have to turn back..

sudden thought. It's that cat they picked up at the trash yard :D

lmfao that would be epic

It's a dangerous/risky play. If I was Negan I'm not sure that I'd have enough trust in Dwight to perform such an important mission. But yeah, I can see Dwight going either way so what you are suggesting is for sure within the realms of possibility. Of course, it's actually pretty hard to believe that Rick would trust

Well I at least hope that his position as dominator over the other communities at least comes to an end. It would at least be something. Maybe take that sardonic smile off his face and that sinister "back-sway" thing he's got going on.

good point, but if they are, that's a monumental double cross. Sort of like William Wallace when he got betrayed by Robert the Bruce lol

yeah, I was wondering if there is a spy somewhere in the mix but it really does not make sense for it to be any of the regular characters..

Couple of questions. Negan said he heard that Rick was being a bad boy, and he also said to Sasha that tomorrow was going to be a big day. It almost seems like he knows what is coming. Thoughts?!?

yes, his position made perfect sense to me as he does seem to have a very warped, but clear moral imperative. It also made sense in the context that he wants to "use" Sasha and make her part of his empire so it presented an opportunity to start a dialog with her.

Negan definitely has a thing for subjugating strong willed characters and in some respects it is a character flaw upon which his downfall will be built upon.

tend to agree. There are no innocents in a world like this. But there are still a few people left with some level of humanity, in that context we can at least say they are fighting for something more than just their own personal gratification (a point that was made clear a couple of episodes back). They needed the

This episode was deeply contrived but I liked it better for the simple reason that at least it started moving forward at a reasonable pace. As I expected, it had to accelerate considerably in order to make up for lost time on previous episodes.

agree, but if he had a master plan that involved bringing down Neegan when the time was right he surely would have said something to indicate he was still with team rick.

which leaves me with a hangdog face. I feel like a drug addict who is now being cruelly abused by a pusher who has lowered both the quality and volume of the product I have come to crave so much. Honestly, I'm thinking I might not even bother with the next season until it is all done, then I'll just binge watch it.
