He talked in earlier episodes about how suffering makes them more human, he seemed to know the answer to the maze without realizing it. All of his evil work was toward a goal of giving the hosts consciousness so they could fight back against him and the other guests.

I think it was important to establish that the hosts have no real concept of time because their memory loops hold them hostage. There might be days/nights in Westworld but it’s all relative to someone who doesn’t remember making the same pilgrimage 5 times.

I disagree. i love Jon Stewart as much as anyone, but I think Trevor Noah has done a decent job ... I’m a little surprised he had this zealot on, but not really because he’s mentioned her  before. maybe he got some of these morons to think (a pipedream, I know)
