These are fabulous Interstate flyers. And a lot cheaper than a Cessna, while approaching the same speeds. Cheaper to maintain too. If it’s solid, and you need to knock out a lot of miles, Nice Price.

Agreed.  If he had gone to the trouble to actually get it though the BAR referee and certified the swap then I am all for it.  One look under the hood tells me all I need to know.  No way can this thing be registered here.

Yeah, that’s pretty inevitable. “Why is it so expensive to live in California?” “Well, because so many people *want* to live there. It’s a seller’s market in real estate.” “Hey, I found these other places that will pay people to move there!” Huh, I wonder why ...

with the exception of vermont/ny, none of these seem appealing no matter how much they’re offering

That’s my line with the homeless camps in my town. If they kept them neat and hidden from the road, I bet most people wouldn’t care. Instead I see dozens of stolen shopping carts and large areas of trampled trash (some partially burned) and drug paraphernalia when I stumble across one. If they kept them neat(ish), I

Can’t say I’m surprised given he’s a Republican. And like a typical Republican, what he’s saying is bullshit much of the time.

Planes don’t services the cities between LA and SF nearly as well.

Because planes are inherently less efficient than trains, train travel is more comfortable, and the time penalty for trains VS planes is very small on sub-1000km routes. Ever done Amsterdam-Berlin? You hop in literally in the middle of the city, no security, you chill out for 6 hours 20 minutes and you get out again

It’s the first time the Bridge has been visually appealing!

uh, this isn’t the Golden Gate, dude. I dont think anyone in SF considers the old half of the Oakland Bay Bridge on the level of the mona lisa, lol.

An engine rebuild on an air cooled at 30K wouldn’t shock me a bit. I always just kept a fresh motor in the garage and would swap between them. It’s easier to drop the motors on these than to change a sparkplug on a lot of cars.

A/C doesn’t use up refrigerant.  If it needs a recharge, it’s leaking from somewhere.  There is no such thing as “just needs a recharge”.

For when you are done with the job, when you need to take a break, when you are stumped, or waiting for a buddy to come lend a hand......

VW axle nut tool

I’m surprised this is even NPOND entry. I love old Volvos, but this is a wreck. For $1,500, sure. Maybe $2K to account for market madness.

In the past, I would have agreed with you, but with the Audi E-Tron GT RS and Porsche Taycan, that’s just not the case anymore.

It’s an Autobahn Burner, a Cannonballer, a GT of Grand Tourers. But most of all, it’s getting your ice cream home before it melts

Instead of throwing my own comment in, I’m just going to “second” what you said. Pretty much summed it up for me.

This has enough new tech to make it a safe and comfortable daily or cruiser. Enough juice and pedals to make it fun, and enough analog buttons to satisfy a Luddite like me, and it still looks like a BMW should, not a bloat d version of what a BMW should look like with a bloated kidney grill. A lot to like here, is it
