Back in 1980 I had a FWB that drove this same POS car. I still think about her, but don’t miss her car. Back fees in the Golden State can be a nightmare. Trust me, I know. ND

No thanks. Way too many other cars I can buy with $25,000 that I really would want. I never liked the styling of this generation Celica anyway. ND
I really liked these in the past. $5,000 isn’t a wheelbarrow full of money and it seems to look OK for what it is. If I needed a beater car I wouldn’t need to spend that much. On the other hand, if I want to restore it where am I going to find parts for it? This is a 35 year old car that was pretty rare when new. I…
I would offer less, but go the full price if there were no glaring problems. I know it will fail to get a NP from the majority of you guys, but yup I’m NP. This looks to be a pretty nice early Isetta. They can be worth there weight in gold. Would I ever drive it? Sure, just once around the block to say I have driven…
I live in a town that is really full of Teslas. They are everywhere! We are shopping for a new hybrid or full EV. For sure it won’t be a Tesla. This asshole will never get any of our money. It will be something German
I’m curious like the rest of you and as I also live in Elk Grove where it is listed I would like to go see it in person. But the ad has expired. I’ll check to see if they list it again. Oh, ND with that kind of miles.
I’m just not a fan of these cars or most Audis I guess. For that kind of cash there are some really interesting cars for sale that aren’t butt ugly like this one. ND
I have driven Ford trucks for almost 50 years and will never have anything else. This is a really nice old truck, but it is way, way over-priced. ND
At only $2,900 I went NP, but already am questioning that?
I’ll eat deli turkey or ham on a sandwich once in a while. That’s about it. I’ve been to Portugal and Spain more than any other countries (Mexico doesn’t count) because of their hams.
I’ll pass. If it was a manual trans and 1/2 the price, maybe. ND
There is one thing about this car that makes me think it has been well taken care of. It sounds like the guy put a set of new Michelin tires on it before selling it. How many people put a set of Michelin on a car just to sell it? Very few.
I like this car a lot, but the price does seem on the high side. Maybe way on the high side. But, there are few of these around for sale and it does look pretty nice. I can do the engine maintenance when needed and I even have the missing tools. NP
I think my dad had one of these back then. We had very different taste in cars always. ND
OK. NP. I know this is not a concours car by any means, but depending on the rust this is probably a very desirable car. The rust would dictate what I would offer, but the asking price is probably in the ballpark for today. This was what the nicer ones sold for 5 years ago and we all know has happened to prices since…
Pretty good old car. Pretty way over-priced. ND
I bought a new Chevy Blazer in 1974 and the same day started modifying it to prerun desert race courses. We did lots of work on the suspension, springs, double shocks. Rear locker and 4.11 gears. And on and on. For the mid 1970s it was pretty much a state of the art prerunner. It broke a lot shit. While getting towed…
We might be setting a new record today for ND.
How could everyone not see this coming. Mr. Muskrat will close the Fremont California plant and import Teslas from China where labor is cheap and they have few regulations. I expect to see this all happen in less then 2 years.
I had to think this over for a bit, but I went ND afterwards. A 20 years old hybrid doesn’t seem like a smart bet. Systems in this car I honestly don’t understand and probably I can’t fix when they fail. 45 MPG sounds great though. We are shopping for a hybrid right now, but we will buy new and it comes with a 8 year…
