It takes two jackholes to tango.

In 2006, this car cost $21,753 at full retail price. Now, 112k miles and two owners later, it’s worth half that much? A civic isn’t collectible, and never will be.

It’s a Nice Pipe. The car is great, i’m sure, but it’s worth about $5000-6000. Nice Pipe, Crack Price.

The first step is admitting it. I can’t say I wouldn’t knowingly go for a slightly CP price car if it were “the” car.

As I’ve said before, this is the whole issue I have with GM. They lag and lag behind the industry, and then when they finally do what everyone else has been doing, they want all kinds of pomp and circumstance for it. Then, after they get it right, the entire project loses steam and gets cancelled.

Looks like it’s capable of some pretty serious speed. I just hope it’s got good brakes, cause it’s gonna be important when you need to … Stapp.

Stapp it with all these obscure automotive factoids, please.

It was Torchinksy with his time machine messing with us

And before anyone says people will read the numbers, not the bold type:

The numbers are correct, but the highlighted number is not.  The Porsche beat the Tesla in both braking tests.

Is there a typo on the 100-0 braking numbers? Because 306 is less than 313

In that case, let’s play an epic dual-guitar solo.

Unfortunately, it seems that’s because their reservation system is broken.

Can I check (it) out any time I like?

The LAST thing I need is an electric hearse silently creeping up on me.

Now that story would top any here.

Obligatory...

Oh jeez. Another one of these “I’m not paying more for repairs than I can sell it for” people. He needs to just fix his car. We’re not talking an engine replacement here. This is precisely the kind of person that falls into the used car lot trap. An idiot.

$500 bucks a month is a LOT of repairs. I have a 23 year old 4runner that I’ve put over 20 grand into and it’s surely not worth that to sell... but it’s still a great truck and a new 4runner is like 50 grand so I’m still ahead of the game.

My current car may be old, but it’s paid for, works fine, and does everything I ask of it. Why would I want to take on a car payment? In a couple of years I may be in a different boat, but in the meantime I can bank what I’m not paying on a car note.

If it weren’t for Money, I’d have a stable full of new cars. I’d also have a stable full of Money.
