Long post. Here's a quick response. Finding her last name through a friend of a friend in order to message her on facebook is not okay. Just because people do it in romantic comedies doesn't mean real women with real feelings think it's cute. It wouldn't work if you looked like Ryan Gosling, though probably would work

Don't you think someone should eventually let him know that what he did is not okay? It's really not acceptable to message a stranger like that with your weird notions of who she is. It's not "construed" as stalker-y and creepy it is. It's harassment. She could have been nicer, but someone eventually had to let him

I think that they'll simply be ignoring the fear that they could be raped. Unfortunately there isn't any graph that shows how fear of rape affects getting raped. Because it doesn't, being afraid or not will still have them in the world, where there is a good chance they will be sexually assaulted.

It sounds like you're the kind of person who messages strangers on facebook.

I've looked at those websites and I'm not seeing those numbers so, sauce?

If she said to the police that she's seen a particular customer come in a few times and make her feel uncomfortable and then this same customer found her personal profile online and messaged her and made her more uncomfortable that is enough for them to take notice.

There's the MRA that was lurking under there. Men in prison don't count towards that number. They don't exist in normal society, including their numbers isn't because their "inhuman" but good try at heading off a counterargument. Adding those numbers in is deliberately misleading and you know it. Men are not at the

What she did is not one tenth as morally unacceptable as stalking a stranger on the internet

This is straight up insane logic. You're saying that women don't have to fear being sexually assaulted, yet the likelihood of being sexually assaulted for a woman is astronomical. A quarter million people a year at least are sexually assaulted or raped, and those are what is reported.

Why does he need to be blocked to get the message? Ignorance is not an excuse. Obliviousness deserves absolutely no respect or deference. What he did was out of line. She would've been within her rights to immediately open a paper trail on this dude with the cops.

Let's be really clear and concise here.
