There are still a few races to go. I’m hoping Mercedes will have an even *worse* race before the end of the season, if, for nothing else, than to make this headline incorrect.

Mine still “ran” even when it had problems. And the problems didn’t always occur right away. Mostly, for me, it was after running a while (20-30 minutes). So, you might not feel the shudder during even an extended test drive.

I got mine “fixed” several times, but the problems would always come back. I finally had to dump it, just before I got a letter saying I could get a discount on a new Ford because of all the problems I was having. Yeah, right. I now have a 2017 Honda Civic Si (manual).

I lived with one of these for a few years. I had to get a good commuter card, and my local Ford dealership sold me a one-year-old 2013 Fiesta.
