Good lord, Gamers (TM) are entitled. The game is free, $0. And for the first time for a AAA game in the past few months, it just works. No lag, no crashing, no trouble finding a match. I pretty much ignore multiplayer games at this point. Whenever I hear about one, the first thing I think of is it’s “pay to win”. No thank you to that.

Absolutely this. They released a fantastic multiplayer mode, and even if they didn’t, all the devs would still deserve a break. Progressing on a damn season pass is a minor issue. Is it weird that I remember a time when you just played video games for fun... not for pointless cosmetics?
