Graham Linehan is obviously a POS person. I’m glad that he’s finally facing some repercussions. I’m ashamed to say I was unaware of his bad takes, which have clearly been going on for a long time - until today.

I appreciate the recommendation, but I’m not watching his show.

Americans are pretty awful to us, too, but here’s a good primer on why overt transphobia is more publicly acceptable among those who’d consider themselves politically left of center in the U.K. than it is over here.

Snowpiercer V1

Amazingly someone kept working on this concept after the war and created the Overland Train, or Alaskan Land Train.

Wonder if it was the inspiration for this.

I hate that Graham Linehan has forever trainted The IT Crowd for me. I know he’s been known transphobic for a while but I somehow just found out about it. Between this and Cas Anvar grom The Expanse turning out to be a scumbag rapist, it’s been a shitty week for shows I like.  But obviously I'm glad this stuff is

I like how we’re glossing over the fact that this thing was built in 11 goddamn weeks. Imagine building a project car in 2 1/2 months, let alone a house sized behemoth.

Ah yes the F150, for the man who thinks this is a dress shirt.

Look, I’m all for fancy tech and stuff, but this is a pickup truck, not a Rolls Royce. Why in the hell does the folding shifter mechanism need to be MOTORIZED? It never even crossed my mind that it would be motorized, rather than just some different button you pressed to unlatch it and fold it down with your hand.

This really hit home. As a double minority (gay, black) I’ve managed to make it to senior management and received all sorts of accolades from across the business I’m currently in. But do I realistically think that they will let me have a permanent seat at the executive table as my next career move? Even when I know

Why is spouse still a cop then?

This isn’t a hot take but Facebook is a fucking cesspool. I joined a naval submarine veteran group to talk about the good ol’ days and catch up on fleet gossip and it was all the same White Lives Matter, racist memes and awfulness.

The police are a hate group.

“This is not who we are” meaning “We aren’t used to getting called out, usually we just get away with it.”

It’s always wild how people respond to allegations of racism with “this is not who we are” or “this is not who i am.” Like, being accused of racism is somehow worse than the act, or that racism is purely a crime of the heart, so it’s much more important to not be seen as racist than it is to just not do racist things.

I know these lowlife mother fuckers were emboldened by the election of Trump. Not that they weren’t unrepentant scumbags before but now they were thinking “Someone that thinks just like we do is now in charge.” For real one of the things all Democratic candidates need to be running on is shit like this. Sorry I don’t

Combined with thousands of citizens responding with “Yes hell it is.”

Cue hundreds of police departments across the country simultaneously releasing statements saying, “This is not who we are...”
