After seeing the movie, I’m inclined to believe him. His original vision might have made a great movie albeit a horrible Fantastic Four adaptation - (and I’m not talking casting, there are some wtf characterizations that make no sense). You can literally see/feel the moment when the studio stepped in and went “hey,

indeed. they express how i feel right now; utter exasperation and disappointment.

Oh for fcks sake. This is just gritty for gritty sake. I swear if their powers are tied to some traumatic event in their past...

Nah, I doubt Fox can actually *sell* the rights back. If they could they would have sold Daredevil back, rather than taking a loss and waiting for it to expire. I see the same happening with Fantastic Four, which means baring no sequel we’ll have to wait till 2020/21 to find out. The best to hope for is Fox

Agreed, but it will have to be absolutely dismal for that to occur, like some Pluto Nash level bombing. Also keep in mind, X-Men: Origins led to a soft reboot, 2 spinoffs and 3 sequels... I doubt Fantastic Four would be shoved off to the back burner till the rights expire.

indeed.

A sequel is already slated for June 2017. Granted a lot can change between now and then, but I don’t see Fox scraping the movie. Worst comes to the worst, they are gonna pull a WB and roll Fantastic Four into an X-Men crossover movie.

Man, I was hoping against hope F4 was going to be good. I grew up on Ultimate Fantastic Four, so the youthful direction they are taking is A-Okay with me, but man early reviews are just brutal.I guess Trank started to believe his own hype. Still gonna see it, but Bryan Singer better be taking over the damn sequels.

We want to assume that Batman has reached this point in his life and career as a superhero, and Superman represents a sort of philosophical change. He is a paradigm shift for Batman: ‘I’ve been fighting criminals all my life, trying to find justice, and now I am confronted with a concept that is transcendent to me.’

I didn’t realize how much I’ve been waiting my whole life to see Mohawk Storm in live action. Next year is gonna be amazing!!!

Yeah, great idea... but then you’re left with Macbeth (the core inspiration for the Lion King) with an extra helping of madness and death :D

Blue Marvel, Monica Rambeau & Black Panther on the same damn team? BMB and Sara Pichelli on (Ultimate) Spider-man?? Human Beast is back??? An ongoing Spidey teamup????...

See now I have no problem with WB’s hands off limit to Superman & Batman. It’s a silver lining to a very dark cloud, now we can get more awesome DC heroes.

Reading this sounds like a dumbass messy divorce where one partner proceeds to burn all pictures/items belonging to the kids, because their spouse has full custody.... while still getting child support (merchandise money) from the spouse. Like that’s gonna suddenly erase those kids from everyone’s memory.

Because more than half the folks running DC are still stuck in the decade that made them famous i.e. “DA EXXXTREME 90s”, as a result most of their redesigns (see Superman, Batman, Green Arrow, Wonder Woman etc.) have that kitschy overdesigned look of what a 90s kid would think is cool/futuristic.

I dunno man, looks pretty much the same to me, face plate and all. It would be closer to Genesis Genesys Genisys If he was all chrome... and shiny. If anything it looks more like his Justice League War design.

Spot on!!! Which leads to Superman reassuring Bats that it can never happen.... Only for Lex to bait him so hard into destroying half a city block, thereby proving Cadmus fears. I’ve got to watch this show again, the writing was quite incredible.

What I love most about that Justice League clip with Waller & Batman; is that after the conversation is done Batman walks out the door - no theatrics, no smokescreen, or distract/disappear tricks - nope, dude is so shaken he skips the theatrics and simply walks out.

Man, that would be inspired casting. In fact you’ve ruined Freeman for me, if he’s anything other than Everett Ross I’d be disappointed.
