Thing is, that first stanza is the worst part. Hearing the whole thing at once, it sounded to me like a bad start that she recovered from somewhat but not completely. It was an embarrassing performance but not nearly worth the virtual ink that’s been spilled.

Now playing

Key word being “clip”. Watch the whole thing.

What did she skip? She flipped two words but I didn’t hear anything missing.

I don’t think he would. He’s actually incredibly deft at not saying the quiet part loud, or at least phrasing it such that he can argue he didn’t. That’s why they can’t get him for incitement even though everyone knows it was, whether or not they admit it.

Yup, all this did was secure his win. And if it had been successful, it would have secured his replacement’s win AND kicked off the civil war. The idea that he dies and it’s all rainbows and free healthcare is mindblowingly naive.

Great pick for a TMBG song. One of their greatest. It has Linnell’s signature, singular wit but the tragedy outweighs the humor by just the right amount.

Besides the obvious roles, her part as Steve Martin’s friend Roxanne always sticks in my head as a bit of trivia. At the time, I only knew her from Popeye, which I actually did love as a preteen, so it was cool to see her in something else.

I agree with all of this. I still think that he was as surprised as anyone that he won.

I’ll try again:

Both candidates are terrible. Vote for the one who won’t require a coup to replace if the need arises.

Yup. Even once he won, my feeling was, “Okay, relax, that was all campaign talk. He’s not actually dangerous and even if he is, that’s what the other branches of government are for.

I swore I saw the Buffy logo for second. Turns out I just never noticed how much the Disney D looks like the Buffy B. They have the exact same swoops.

It wasn’t meant to be taken seriously. DKessrich needs to consider what they’re actually suggesting.

And apparently, she’s the reason I associate “Barracuda” with Sarah Palin, which is unforgiveable.

To be clear, it’s not the country I have a problem with; it’s the “Blue Collar Done Turned Red” brand of it. It’s pretty much the same song as “Try That in a Small Town”.

Well then, all eyes on David Tennant, I guess.

Wow. And no relation, huh?
