there is no distinguishable difference between these photos and screenshots from cgi trailers for the game. They perfected the materiality, the lighting and reflections, and even the softness of features on the faces to really make it look like a high quality rendering. that’s crazy

sure it’s exaggerated, it’s a demo showing off the potential of the technology. Games like Witcher exaggerate the characters’ hair (why is the wind blowing indoors?) but if a developer utilizes the tech properly and with realistic moderation, it’ll be awesome. Hopefully one day we’ll have a Geralt whose hair stays…
