I like Rosie’s look, but as soon as she starts to talk, she over-delivers her lines and it kills the scene for me. She’s not an actress, and the way she acts is the way a non-actress would. It’s amateurish.

Agree. Merlan went with the non-story. She took the easy way: “Let me just rehash all of TM’s shitty work and post a story that doesn’t represent Tiffany Haddish’s thoughts on the matter at all.” Even though Haddish’s thoughts are what really matter here, not Merlan’s.

I happened on it randomly, knowing nothing about it, and was completely ensnared. Afterward I did a little digging and found that Scorsese is an admirer, and used the color scheme of Leave It to Heaven when he was directing Gangs of New York.
That’s awful. I heard an actor doing a DVD commentary about working with her, and he kept saying how cold and aloof she was on set. Now I’m wondering if it was this catastrophe that (at least partly) made her seem distant.
I like looking at Mr. Wilde, and am a connoisseur of fucked-up and crazy-ass, so I am on it. Thanks for the tip.
