Oh look, the guy who solved it all by placing a given value on certain degrees. I haven’t seen you in a post about the cost of college tuition before.

trolls gonna troll.
I don’t think you’re really understanding what the actual problem is. Being willfully obtuse isn’t cute. Neither is shaming people for pursuing an education in their passion.
Charity is nice. At this point, however, charity won’t cut it.

This comment needs all the stars. People just want the culture they had, not anything else.
It costs about $14k per semester to be a full-time student a Morehouse (so 28k per year) plus about $4k for a room and 3k for a meal plan (again, per semester). That means total tuition is about $42,000 per year. If you go to school for six years, as this student did, your total costs are $252,000.
Someone probably made this joke already, and if so I apologize. But here goes...
Growing up your typical upper class suburban kid who skipped high school to go hang out at the beach, I had a totally skewed view of college and how people lived during it. From all the movies I watched I assumed that college was just a time when you had no responsibilities and got to prank the dean and show up to a…
I recently got my masters in education to start a new career in teaching. I went to a fairly inexpensive state school and am almost 40 years old. I got a job right away and began paying the loans. Because I am a teacher, I pretty much can only afford to pay the minimum every moth and still survive so unless a long…
Funny how when people want to go back to the “good ol days” it doesn’t include being able to get a home, a car, a spouse, 2.3 kids and pay off college on one salary...
Or don't start unnecessary war #4 of the last 30 years. That's still an option.
Yeah my parents have always been supportive and understanding, but I remember my mom telling me how she worked at a diner part time to pay her way through college at a major university. Blows my mind. She didn’t come from wealth or status; it just wasn’t a vampire system then.
Not to mention it didn’t work out great the last time we did it. Who did we put in power...oh, yeah; Khomeini!
one student, Myles Washington, even said that he feels “survivor’s guilt” due to receiving the gift. “There were students that were here that were just as smart and just as talented as us that didn’t have the opportunity because they had to leave early,” Washington said.
Only if it’s a woman. They don’t care if it’s a white man doing it.
I recently paid off the remnants of the one private loan I took out for college, a $6,000 loan made to me in 2009, and my credit score immediately went down.
Intentional policy, intentional abuse, intentional consequences. What’s wrong with what Congresswoman Underwood said? Oh, it was the truth. Well, shit.
If I had any money to invest I’d sink it all into pearl futures, because I have a feeling the amount of Republicans who are going to be clutching them over Underwood’s (totally accurate) comment is going to be through the roof.
