how do you create an ISO without a dvd/cd drive?

i upgraded to an SSD last year but only in my laptop. i didnt really do it for speed, i did it so that if I ever drop my laptop, or bump it too hard while its one, i dont have to worry about my drive crashing. that alone is worth the cost.

for a laptop computer the major benefit is that the SSD has no moving parts. simply put, if you are little rough with your laptop, you dont have to worry about bumping the head out of alignment and losing your data.

better to start fresh when upgrading to an SSD. copy your important data to an external device. start with a fresh install of the OS flavor you like and go from there.
