Lonzo has a strange sort of athleticism - he doesn’t appear to be super quick laterally or up and down the floor, but I think he has better than average hops and pretty long arms. And he can guard up to small forwards and at least have a chance against all except the top tier point guards.

And I know you won’t! But I can, and so can the people who advise him about how to maximize his earnings potential. Hence, can’t talk about it without thinking of it. Thanks for writing :)

Lonzo is actually top 50 in defensive win shares per game. The consensus seems to be that he is much better on defense than expected.

I know comedy’s subjective, but if you’re going to joke up about somebody’s death, the punchline ought to be funny.

When dealing with weighty matters, your gallows humor needs to be on point. This wasn’t that.

Life is fragile and this is a huge tragedy.

Holy shit, how old is Albert Belle now? Wait...how old am I?

[Acevedo] also offered this curious defense: “In other cities there’s cops who are actually committing sexual assaults on duty, so I thank God that this is what passes for a controversy in Austin, Texas.”

Well, here’s the thing. Take any of them - any of the high draftpicks. These guys were never developed, really. Throw them to the lions with the impossible expectations of “franchise savior” and you see how that worked out.

The first one is a good example. Tim Couch. He was terrible. But he was everyone’s number one that year.

Are you the same guy that told me to bet the over on 75 points for the Arizona Coyotes? Because I want my $100 back.

I would take the over on Browns wins over the next 5 years.

The Browns have seemed to do decent things the last couple of off seasons but it all goes to shit when they hit the field. Not saying it’s Hue Jackson, but it’s also not NOT Hue Jackson.

Wrong crowd for nerd jokes, friend, you’re going to get shoved in a locker. What do you think of The Magicians this season? I think it’s been really good.

He sold after the partnership between the NFL and Papa John’s had ended, as well as Schnatters ouster as CEO. So no, not insider trader in any way.

I dunno, seems to mostly add up to me? Cuban is heavy-handed when it comes to the actual basketball team, but that doesn’t mean he’s paying much attention to HR shit. You can very easily argue that he SHOULD be paying attention to it, but that’s essentially what he is owning up to here.

Hard to brand an interview as “Listen to an old guy talk about some kinda interesting, contradictory basketball stuff for a bit.”

I shall comment on your comment, thus making you think once more about this post that you commented on.

Imagine what happens when LeBron leaves. Gilbert has to be offering him a stake of the team and all his businesses under the table to convince LeBron to stay.

GOOD ONE!
