I mean... relax. We all know what he is saying.
Liberals think the only good conservative is one that votes with liberals.
And... he wants to come off independent but that would burn bridges with a lot of people who are going to interview him to be a lobbyist.
I’m old.
Not a terrible point.
First of all, Dopus, you threw up a pro-man comment on a board that is 95% men and got a response. Good for you. I bet it is the first time anyone has ever acknowledged that you wrote something.
Dave, it was so crazy requiring video that I assumed everyone would know it was sarcasm. I assumed wrong.
This is a funny post. But the reason why he has that 7.4b is because he sweats the small stuff.
Your white privilege obviously has made you unimpressed with the power of a valid credit card.
I looked up to follow you. Gracious you are spending a lot of time on Deadspin today!
Agreed. It would suck to be in the 10%. That said, it would also suck to get a million dollar verdict against you because the jury was 90% sure. And this happens, as it should, all of the time.
I agree with all of this although I have no idea if the Dodgers spoke to the maid. Actually, I have to think they did. If they did not and just did it based on the hotel calling, it is hard to believe that would be enough to release the guy.
I was hoping against hope that when I demanded video of the incident, everyone would realize beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was being sarcastic. But no.
I was being sarcastic, of course. But I think that guy knew that.
You lost me.
People are convicted of rape WITHOUT a second source. He said/she said convictions. Happens all of the time. So, no a second source is not needed. The standard should be if you believe MORE LIKELY THAN NOT that the allegations are true, you should publish it. Why would we have a higher standard for publishing than we…
If journalist have credible allegations they should report those allegations and name names. What standard should they use? More likely than not. It is the civil standard and the appropriate one here. If they are 90% right, as you say, that is plenty good.
Actually no. If the paper believes that it is more likely than not that the offense occurred — and I assume they did or they would not have written the article — that is more than enough to name the suspected offender.
“The player who committed the alleged assault was not named by the Beast because he was never charged with a crime.”
