Having scantily-clad female dancers at this kind of event sends a very clear signal that "this is a (straight) boy's club, and the rest of you are just visiting."

This isn't a party at your friend's house or a bachelor party at a strip club, this is an industry party that is supposed to be held for and attended by industry professionals. It's a matter of appropriate time and place, and the video game industry needs to eschew the "booth babe" shit if they want to be taken

For most people, there's nothing wrong with what was seen. The difference is, they should have thought about everyone's feelings on having these dancers show up, not just the preference of a few. Had it been a completely private party held only for people that would have unquestioningly enjoyed this, I doubt you'd
