I never thought about the whole kickstarter thing. I would be willing to bet that is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

tbh, oculus is dead to gamers as of now. We're talking Facebook here, home of the pay2win, platform that revolutionized the "genre" and made Zynga a major player. I do not want to be a part of such a gaming world. Go look what EA did to Dungeon Keeper, that's all because of Facebook and various Farmvilles.
Umm it's a 2 billion dollar purchase by a publicly traded company, your positive attitude is adorable.
It doesn't and I find your desire to take the high road angle dull as hell
Did you not see Zuckerberg's statement on the deal with Oculus? He has big plans for Oculus, far beyond simply gaming. So no, they aren't going to just sit back and let Oculus do their thing.
People don't like the company, so they don't have to deal with the company. When Oculus sold their company, they might end up loosing potential customers because said customers doesn't want to deal with the parent company.
So this was initially a crowd funded project, was it not? How much of that 2 billion will those donators see?
RIP Oculus Rift. At least you got to do some cool things before being finished.
I know how Facebook makes it's money.
And not a single GTA guy in sight.
You need like a super beefy system to get it to look that good. At the setting they have the game at in those screenshot they're probably getting like 5 FPS. It's good for eye candy but in gameplay it's not something you want to do.
This is great: your message was posted only 9 minutes ago, according to what Kotaku is telling me, and yet the original article has already been changed to omit the line you quote.
If only that coupon was adjusted for inflation...
Psst.. hey, Gamestop.. over here.. don't tell anyone.

Same reason there are bakeries and stuff that don't donate day-old (and still edible) bread and such to the homeless. Which is... well I actually never heard a legit reason.
The problem isn't that the games keep track and make fun announcements (Multikill! etc.), it's that you also get bonuses that make the game one-sided. If someone's already dominating, what sense does it make to give them tools to do that more easily?
They're super obnoxious, in my opinion.
It sounds like you're confused. No one is complaining about the the killstreak itself. It's the rewards games deliver to earners of a killstreak that is a problem. It's a positive feedback loop, in which good players receive bonuses that make it easier to kill people.
Player A is an expert player, completely demolishing Team X.
