Yeah, that’s the dilemma. Absent N.I., Brexit would be much less of a problem--though still a bad idea.

There really doesn’t seem to be a solution at this point--although I confess I thought the same thing about the Troubles in Northern Ireland, so what do I know?

Just because your still upset

Yep. Just compare his voting record to Shelly Capito’s to see the alternative. As I have pointed out before, this state elected Trump by a 42% margin; they ain’t voting for AOC anytime soon.

That’s just the mechanism; the motive force is Trump.

Reminds me of the story of the wheat farmer in Canada who won the lottery some years ago. He was asked, “what are you going to do with the money?” He answered, “I guess I’ll just keep farming ‘til that’s gone too.”

Tillis could not possibly have made it more obvious that he caved in to pressure from Trump.

AND Joe Manchin, who Splinter loves to hate.

Exactly. This was an important vote.

I can’t imagine why you want to let the parents off the hook. All of these assholes are in the process of “resigning/retiring to spend more time with their lawyers.”

The Dems are for Open Borders and Crime!

You may not be a moron, but that’s a moronic statement.

Just for curiosity’s sake, what does a flu shot cost without insurance? Is that an option?

We may well need a hard turn to the left as a country, but I am not convinced that the votes are there.

“I’m talking about the policy of where legacy admissions came from. It was to keep non-white people, and Jews probably, out of the colleges.”

Yep. I confess I’m a little surprised that white Catholics haven’t voted for a Democrat since before 2000—probably goes all the way back to Kennedy.

There are only three people left in the IRS audit branch, so they’re probably OK.

You think it was neoliberals who passed the tax cut? JFC!
