Do they sun their genitals together?
I bet Aaron Rodgers didn’t think he’d be engaged to someone who pretends to be other people for a living. But here we are.
Headlights on all the time makes it harder to see emergency vehicles and motorcycles
Another vote here for the Mazda5: it’s bulletproof, drives a lot like the Mazda3 it’s based on, has ludicrous amounts of room and is available everywhere for under $10K. Hell, if you’re lucky you can even get one with a stick. I’d still be driving mine if not for a hobo who darted out in traffic and caused a 3-car…
I gotta say I’ve never had those lights go off when they’re not.... supposed to. Sometimes they fail to go off when I think they should but flashing every time i drove by a jersey barrier would be a pretty egregious failing.
can i change my answer to be:
the jalopnik slideshow is the worst automotive feature
Push button start and the new keyless entry (where you just touch the door handle to lock and unlock) are the best features added to cars in decades.
Never understood the hate for this one. I have both kinds of cars and would never choose the keyed ignition anymore.
Why? Fun? Like it?
Easy. An instrument cluster that is backlit even when headlights are not on. Because of that, I often see people driving down the freeway with no headlights or taillights on because they have no clue they are off.
Start/Stop technology, and the inability to permanently turn it off. You have to disable it every time you drive your car (at least on Toyotas). It is annoying as fuck and I’m not getting any better gas mileage than my old car of the same model without the “feature”.
putting the volume and ac controls on a stupid ass screen.
I think I was 6 or 7 when my parents started leaving me home alone. Hungry? Whip-up a box of Mac ‘n Cheese or make a sandwich. Bored? Watch TV or go ride your bike. Surviving as a kid isn’t exactly rocket-science. Here in NC, having your 9-year-old taking care of their younger siblings is the norm.
I’m Gen-X and was left alone by myself or with another kid my age often so that my mom could work. I was also around 8.
When I lived in Powderhorn, people who grew up in Blaine and Golden Valley would bug their eyes out when I told them that and be like “the ghetto?!?!” People around here don’t know what a ghetto is. If you walked around my block on a summer day, there'd be people outside grilling with their laughing kids and happy…
His wants are long haul comfort, lots of space, decent ground clearance and good-ish mileage. Yes, this guy is practically begging for somebody to suggest a minivan.
These things are horrendously uncomfortable for long periods and arent all that reliable at all. Theres a reason its selling for less than 10K for a 5 year old vehicle
