I didn’t watch the clip, but a lot of these type of restoration videos are self inflicted damage. The grift is that they’re rescuing something someone neglected.

I'm pretty sure the large majority are faked, but from the ones I’ve seen they just “happened” to find it in the current condition. No swap outs. Full restoration. Checking their other videos will usually clue you in on the authenticity.

It’s for towing or in some cases, hauling something heavy. It allows you to angle your headlights down if they’re sitting too high.

They're absolutely ridiculous, and run around $350. I saw this poor girl wearing them in a store. By poor, I mean she couldn't even walk right in them. They're cartoonish, and she looked like a cartoon in them. I can't imagine driving in them is very safe.
