Those cheap Wildside Press Megapacks are fantastic. I like when I find one covering a whole genre I was unaware of.
That's the "cat book" market. They all seem to look like they came out of the 80s/early 90s. I think the Sedaris comparison, really funny essays told through a unique POV, is closer to what you get than the books it's sold beside.
" She had this little extra—it was almost like a little warm mouth—that would reach up and grab me and take me in and make my, uh, my heart swell." -Mickey Rooney on Ava Gardner's vagina
I watched it as a really stoned teen. My friends & I were laughing really hard at it, & my friend's mom was home & could hear us. The point she came into the room to see what we were watching? The rape scene. We felt like a bunch of ghouls.
Just read a thing on Edward Bunker, the guy who wrote the novel. Once he was being watched by the cops, since he was a drug dealer at the time. They put a tracker on his car, & expected him to lead them to a drug deal. Well, that particular day he was robbing a bank.
When I first learned what ticket scalping was a kid, my first thought was, "that's brilliant! Someday I'll do that!" I was a very ethics-minded child, obviously.

as his official presidential biographer. the book covering his first four years will be released this February.
doubtful.
I know a lady on Facebook who dated him for 6 years. She's not a conspiracy nut either. Mostly she's into posting pictures of her dog. And talking shit on Alex Jones,w/ the occasional old unflattering phototgraph.
are you calling Trump a liar? *monocle shatters* *leaving cracks in the shape of a swastika*
batmanning. On second thought, I should probably check urban dictionary before i start throwing that term around.
when I first got on the internet, i hunted down all these banned wartime looney tunes shorts off of rare video message boards. then i made all my friends watch them, & they were like, "the fuck you making me watching this shit for?"
Really been looking forward to this. One of favorite book(s) is Connie Willis' Blackout/All Clear. After reading that I went on binge of books on Dunkirk. Plus, ya know, I like Nolan's movies.
exact joke I was going to make. Glad somebody got to it.
Right now there is on the rack in the tabloids by checkout at the grocery store an entire magazine dedicated to, "the behind the scenes dirt" on saved by the bell, & seems like a retread of Screech's horseshit book, which came out what, a decade ago?
puts away red sharpie.
that's been stuck in my head for days, I keep saying it to myself when i'm trying to sleep. It's so wonderfully stupid.
