The concept that an individual could be held criminally liable for driving a car, that was made defective by a manufacturer and could not be registered because parts weren't available and had to go to work to pay the rent, to put food in the mouths of their children is abhorrent and wrong.

garmin has the best devices and maps, but not the best software in general, i would still go for a latest model from garmin. using a smartphone is great but, if you need to receive or call someone or text it could be a painful, battery is also a problem.

Or you could just make friends with a nice person (like me) who would relish the opportunity to teach someone else to drive stick and increase the demand for proper stick shifts. I'd even give you a choice of pretty cool cars. :)
