The same criticisms can be applied to overusing any metric as a gauge of health; weight specifically.

Apple’s fitness tracking is more fluff than Garmin’s trackers, but until they get a ECG function, i’m stuck with Apple. As a cyclist, Apple’s product is less than stellar, I don’t think it knows how to handle cycling

Agreed. its literally why I didnt buy a Nintendo Wii - a nickle more at production vs. a $30 USB dongle at the consumer level...

Gaming laptops don’t exist in my world. Gaming PCs are built... But I do plug my work laptop in for backups.. its much faster.

You’re missing my point; For gaming on a console or desktop, ethernet rules all, always has. Bring it up and there is always two excuses why people want to combat this fact: Either they are too sheepish and scared to modify their house/apartment for proper wiring or they bring up the “sure, ill just run ethernet to my

For a desktop or console that never moves location? absolutely, 100%.

Didn’t seem to address the issue with vibrations breaking the lenses on the newer cameras.

No previous phone i’ve used broke consistently when used on a motorcycle. Now its called “abuse”

They won’t rent to people with Wranglers; no problem with other convertibles, just not convertible SUVs.

Fuck Uhaul.

Ahhh... I didnt see that. And it certainly didn’t improve with just the software. Last Friday, Apple Watch series 5 and WatchOS 7 was still limited to 120BPM; 5 hours in AFib before i could get a solid reading.

Thanks for the info!

Apple’s max heart rate for atrial fibrillation is 120bpm. This is somewhat useless for me as I get it during exercise. I have plenty of “inconclusive readings” in my history that obviously show a lack of sinus rhythm.

Wondering what the Samsung limit will be.

I did not know I had a heart problem until I used a heart rate monitor and it happened to catch my fibrillation/flutter.

Most people don’t have heart rate monitors. Most don’t know their resting heart rate. But that doesn’t mean the function is worthless. I think everyone can make use of the heartrate and oxygen

No, you got flamed because you equated the potential use case for ECG/EKG or other health functions to people that need a gluten free diet.

One of the best arguments for the Apple Watch over any other fitness trackers was the ECG/EKG which was until recently unavailable on other devices. But yeah, for those of us with

You’d be surprised. I have an Apple Watch specifically for the ECG/EKG feature as I have an issue with Atrial Fibrillation. My cardiologist recommended it.

That said, of course, its funny how often this is dismissed as a “needed” feature.

I dont use neck gaiters / “buffs” because they tend to be made of fabrics that are designed to wick moisture aware from the body... as such, it doesnt seem like an effective barrier for preventing moisture from escaping.

I would think fabric choice would have more to do with transmission of vapor than mask style. But

Umm, isn’t that Tim Apple?

Carbs, for various tuning reasons, on various machines (mostly motorcycles... sure)... On my moderns and certainly not baseline daily driver with four wheels has manual windows and locks, manual transmission, and a regular key. But its certainly EFI, has all the mandated safety nannies, and I can turn off TPMS, which

Shocker, the Wrangler JK held #1 at 74% made in America in Toledo, and now dropped much lower in the list with the JL. Yeah, didnt see that one coming...

The only way i absolutely know where my keys are is when ive had to use them to get where im going.

Pushbutton start is one of the worst value, gimmicky features that some people demand... I dont get it. Meh, i still use manual windows, manual locks (no fob) as well.

“Is reopening”? Bullshit. There is not status as “is reopening”. Open or closed. It hasnt been opened since St. Patrick’s Day. And people are getting antsy.

My 2 cents... I don’t give a shit about Atari. I will not buy a neo-ertro console that has to prove itself before anything cool comes to it - that’s more like the Mattel Intellivision, yeah?

I love the retro “classic” consoles reissues - I have the NES, the SNES and, regrettably, the Genesis. Its a shame a non-BS PSX

In a Pennsylvania shutdown, we cannot legally buy booze; wine and beer, yeah at a grocery that allows it. They better fix this soon, or i guarantee a bunch of antsy people are gonna realize that there are literally stores filled with booze just waiting to be broken into...

The restriction on Sunday auto sales also

Its better than Pennsylvania - they cant sell certain items (used to be booze, still automobiles) on Sundays - I had to wait 6 months to buy a car.
