You think the Z900 looks old? I think it’s just getting into it’s maturity. Old-looking to me would be something like the W650/W800. Basically a Kawi version of the Bonneville. Others could be the Enfields, and of course Triumphs.

Best of luck Raph! Your carspotting will be forever one of my favorite video sets here.

For some reason, I’ve been seeing a lot about Guzzis both in person and on the interwebs. Fate and a wife won’t let me add another to my stable right now but I’ve always liked their looks. Not super keen on Italian engineering though.

I’d expect the new EIC to be announced next week since that person starts Monday? The new one has already been announced elsewhere. A friend from college as it happens to be.

I wold posit that a Triumph Tiger could fit the bill. Not a new one, but the older ones are quite good in my experience.

The SSJ is a mess of a plane. Numerous premature maintenance issues, poor engine performance, and limited support. The only reason some Russian airlines took them was due to the government dictating it to keep the company moving. They do indeed have their own aerospace industry, but it’s nowhere near the level of funct

There are enough MRO offices in Russia for major airlines that it shouldn’t be hard to gather a lot of repair information if they take them.

As time goes on, I imagine this may end up being like a Cuba Cars situation. Planes will get stripped for parts to allow others to fly, parts will be cobbled together until they eventually fall apart. If you have a fear of flying, I wouldn’t go anywhere near Russia in the future until this gets cleaned up.

Wide open throttle on a small displacement bike is way more fun than going the same speed on a larger displacement bike.

My all time favorite has to be 1952 Vincent Black Lightning by Richard Thompson

Eh we got those in NC too. No f’s given about everyone behind them.

I definitely see the Black Knight vibes there. But also nothing about the bathtub Triumphs.

Aw Schucks! Your car is totalled!

That Norton looks very well sorted. The price is actually decent, though the renewed odometer is a slight concern.

There’s a 1-to-2 manifold that mounts over both inlet ports. This is the kit I used on mine.

You can always do a single carb conversion on the older twins. That’s what I did with my Norton. Single Mikuni and no balancing.

It’s not a car, but that PURPLE!

This is a slideshow I’ll actually read through.

The bus.
