There is a pretty high possibility that Kirby (the character) was named after the vacuum, but he also might be named after an employee with that last name. Personally I am a Vacuum Truther.

Jay edits the videos which is another reason I love him.

Is that the same Electrolux Kelly Ripa shills for in commercials? I had no idea they did door-to-door vacuum sales, TIL! I mean, I have a Husky dog so I defy one of these people to come in my house and run a vacuum cleaner, that poor fucker will be cleaning dog hair out of a motor until their dying day

My in-laws have one and it weighs about 500 pounds. They offered it to me and I decided it would be less work to just rip up the carpet.

Get this: people still sell Kirby vacuums door-to-door. I've had two come by in the 5 years I've lived in my current house, as well as a bimonthly visit from some sucker selling those utility scams like Ambit and Constellation. Door-to-door sales are experiencing a rebirth in my neighborhood and I HATES IT

Cancerous article aside, Arizona Fruit Punch is nectar of the gods and if you poison the tea it might affect the production of the far superior juices. Can't have that

Series 5 is my favorite solely for that. "Male judge said…" Beautiful, purely British disrespect.

I don't drink alcohol so I can't really pass judgement on this recipe, but he's often wrong about poop-related matters so this isn't unbelievable

I hate sports but I read every single article Drew Magary writes, even the ones that literally just tell you which football games will be more fun to watch. Every time someone posts that gif of him on Chopped I feel more alive

I don't disagree with that assessment. Truly hating something distorts its otherwise harmless meaning (which is essentially the premise of this series, no?)

Well, I can see you feel far more strongly about this than I do, but independent of this article Kathleen Hanna is a very intelligent woman. I also don't think your assertion that this song doesn't suck is anymore correct than my thinking that it does suck. Opinions are cool that way

I don't understand this logic. The song sucks. I'm certain this fella was a stand-up guy, but this song blows hamhocks. It's ok to criticize the work of nice, dead people. I don't know man maybe I'm out of line I just really hope that when Don McLean kicks the bucket, we can still say American Pie is an abomination

psst I love you *scurries away*

I am still very, very into Maximo Park, 100% of their output is phenomenal. They are not into me though, they've never once toured anywhere near me and I've been sad about it for about a decade. I have nothing of value to add

Day & Age, yeah everything but "Human" is good (I don't hate singles usually but that chorus is really dumb)

Saw them in 2005 with Pretty Girls Make Graves and Cut Copy, they were definitely on cocaine but they'd figured out the balance by then and put on a great show. Met them backstage and they all seemed about 5 feet tall and I wondered if Glasgow had a big smoking problem

I saw it referred to as "post-punk" but even though I was a huge Franz Ferdinand superfan and wrote slash fanfiction about them, I never knew what to call their music.

Franz Ferdinand is Gang of Four if Gang of Four was better. Carrie Brownstein with a rare miss

There is a currently a car ad with Banquet in it, I saw it not 10 minutes ago

Her whole statement reads to me like it's from someone who has never experienced victimization from a person who seamlessly blends in with society and for that I'm glad; there's a silver lining in her ignorance. RIP her rock n roll dreams, hope she figures out what is so fucked up about what she said through education
