I use H&R Block (formerly TaxCut) with great success every year. It's cheaper than doing it online and TurboTax. Amazon just recently had TaxCut Deluxe + State + eFile for $19 (download version). hard to beat that.
@mike_311: Then you are 'loaning' the government too much money and not earning interest for it. Adjust your deductions so you are not paying so much in taxes and with the extra money in your paycheck every week, put that into savings. Then at least you earn some interest and at the end of the year, still have a big…
I know the Rasterbator application is a HUGE memory hog. Any notice if this one is the same?
I'm kind of anal about recycling. I compost, have a scrap metal bin, plastics, glass, paper, etc. My garbage can goes to the curb about once a month. I'm pretty proud of that even though I get no monetary benefit from it and I get teased on occasion.
I have a waffle iron with reversible grilling surfaces which works perfectly. I've also discovered recently that grilling without buttering the bread produces equally delicious sandwiches and my kids can't tell the difference.
I tried this with my all in one HP 6110 printer but damnit the HP drivers will not allow it to work in Windows XP no matter what I tried. Vista/7 works fine though.
Typically, no-name brands roll off the same production line as the big name brands, but are either shipped to a different packing plant or packed in different packaging. I wish there was to find this out but I'm sure the industry wants to protect it's profits and will fight any legislation to make that a law. :-/
@tarkam: It's not my website.
We have some users who are trying to download a .csv file from a website. By default, IE7 would just open the file in it's own window. I modified the properties of the file type to open the file with Scalc (OpenOffice) in the file types menu in folder options. When I do that, the download bombs with multiple errors…
This is funny. The most popular Linux distro (which offers significant competition OS-wise for M$) is switching to Yahoo search which is to be powered by M$ (Bing) in the very near future. Can anyone else see the irony here?
I am surprised that Foxtab was not updated especially with it's huge adoption rate.
@hakujin1: Many of us middle class folks don't have an extra $10,000 laying around to fester in a 'high yield' checking account. If we did, we would be getting into instruments with much better returns.
@jr0321: Southwest is the best, hands down. I will fly no other airline. No bag fees, VERY friendly flight crews, low cost, etc. If you haven't flown Southwest yet, you should make it a point to try them at least once.
@Nitesh Singh: I second that question. Anyone?
Closest bank to me was hundreds of miles away. No thanks. And why is it, like the last site LH reviewed, there are no credit unions included? Piratically every single CU in my area has free checking with no strings attached. Banks, IMHO, are just lame.
@iamnotafish: Yeah, I second that. Quit a job and get no unemployment as opposed to getting laid off and getting full unemployment.
I would love to see a comparison chart of all the carriers and their family plans.
@lalov1: Notepad++, Firefox, Open Office, Trillian and CCleaner are all portable. Why not just keep them on a thumb drive?
@cafegurl: Then why are you wasting time posting about it?
