I asked this last week with no replies so I figure I'll try one more time. Does anyone know of a portable version of the Windows 7 Upgrade Adviser?

@Crashman06: My friend is a brewer and make the best porter around. He made one last year with maple syrup and sap from the trees on his property. FANTASTIC!!!
@farcedude: Thunderbird with the Lightning add on?
@amcglamry: The blender defender!
Our company is looking to update it's web filtering solution from the outdated SurfControl we are currently using. We've looked at several vendors and have really liked the solutions from Barracuda and WebSense. I was hoping to get some feedback from the IT professionals here about what they use, what they like and…

Bad idea. In my company, if we catch you purposely trying to circumvent blocks we put of web surfing, you get the purp walk. These filters are put in place to protect the company, protect the individual and to keep you from wasting company time. Get back to work!
It's really a turn off for me professionally when a vendor is trying to land my business and hands me a card with their official contact being salesperson@aol.com. If you don't have an email at your own domain, that's the first clue that you probably don't have the most up-to-date technology that my company needs.
With my laptop, I fell for the hype that most software doesn't work on 64bit OS'. Now that I am ready to upgrade to Windows 7, I still don't think I'll go to 64bit since I will be required to do a fresh install rather than an upgrade. perhaps I'll just bit the bullet and do it.
Whoops, meant to be a reply. My bad.

Fastest 'selling' yes, but how does that compare to new releases of Linux OS'?
@ddmeightball: <—Another vote for Teamviewer. I keep it updated on my thumb drive so I can use it anywhere.
@iamnotafish: This year I resolve not to make any new years resolutions.
@briancolmery: Reuse the case, optical drives, fans and the hard drives. New mobo, processor (quad core at least, 64bit) 8 gigs of RAM and a 1.5 TB SATA drive and Windows 7 Pro (for XP VM). Transfer the existing data to the new drive then keep the old ones for data redundancy.
@Buster Friendly: I've heard that before. Eliminated postion, rehire same person for 'different' position and less pay. Shortly, you will be doing the same work as before. Welcome back to the chain gang my friend. We missed you.
@Tsylord: I never carry cash. If I have cash in my pocket, I tend to spend it. If I just have plastic in my pocket, I have a white knuckle grip on it and rarely impulse buy with it.
