One thing to keep in mind, when you deposit certain checks, there are required hold times on them ranging from 3 to 10 days. The money shows up in your account but when the bank goes to collect the money from the check writer and can't get it, guess who gets stuck covering that amount?

My neighbors had a similar problem. Instead of a white roof, they installed ridge and sofit vents which lowered the temp in the house by 20°F.
