Society isn’t really paying his bills its marketing dollars from ad revenue. But I get your point. It’s all very meaningless. Same as the celebrity worship of those synthetically giant sized assed women who shall not be named on my thread.

Don’t get me started on celebrity worship, I can’t stand it. It’s really quite disturbing that these “celebrity personalities” are so central to media coverage day in and day out.

Agreed. When I was a kid I had to buy my own car. A 1985 Mercury Lynx for $500. That was a lot of money for a sophomore who worked the whole summer. Now my family didn’t have any money and I learned the value of hard work.

I hear you. I have zero interest in “e sports” personally. Watching dorks play games competitively is even worse than watching competitive poker! No thanks. I prefer real professional sports or actually playing my games. Which, when NFL season starts my gameplay time is next to zero.

I rarely have time to play games as it is with a career a wife and kids. I would imagine his fan base are mostly kids with plenty of time on their hands.

Thanks for the recommendation but I'll pass. I have no interest in watching these types of videos in my free time. I'd much rather pick up the game and play it. By the way Far Cry 4 was seriously great. I can't wait for 5.

Why do you watch these “ let’s play” videos? Don't you like playing the games yourself? I'm not criticizing here I am genuinely interested as I don't get the allure or entertainment value of watching someone else play a game.

They don’t spoil the experience for you? I guess I have a whole lot less time on my hands that I maybe get 10 hrs of gaming in per week. I sure wouldn’t waste it on “let’s play” videos.
