It’s almost like ... and stay with me here folks ... actions have consequences.

A million dead.

The happiest I am about the nominees is the inclusion of Regina Hall in Honk for Jesus. I thought it was an extraordinary performance, but never thought she’d be considered for anything.  Hooray!

Do we trust Quentin? He seems to have gravitated to Tanya rather deliberately. I can imagine he traveled to such opulent settings to grift.

That particular trope is lazy storytelling 101. The amount of goofball shenanigans it takes to make these contrived stories work hinders the great work the actors have been putting in.

Albie is one of those guys who thinks just because he and Portia hung out a few times, now they’re a couple; he feels betrayed that she’s talking to another guy — that’s why he’s trying to make her jealous. On the flip side, Portia is annoyed by this behavior.

Does Lucia not worry at all about making out with the son of the dude she had sex with in the hotel they’re staying at?

Q: What do you plan to do during your retirement?

So many great Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performances. I will say that I might disagree sliiiiightly with the description of the Talking Heads’ Psycho Killer, a band I love passionately since childhood, because it makes no comment about how they all look like they would rather be anywhere else. Their Life During

Prince throwing his guitar over his shoulder as he exits is such a magnificent physical full stop/ fuck you to the whole performance it should get him two places in the Hall.

I believe it takes place around 2005-ish, definitely pre-2011. There are scenes where the drill sergeants ask if the recruits are communists, felons, homosexuals, etc and they must respond “no”.

The moment my firm belief that Prince was overrated came crashing down around me.

Some of my favourite Roger Sterling scenes were his interactions with Peggy, which had a totally different vibe from Don’s but were also quite poignant, and Slattery sold them so well. I think Don was always trying to mold Peggy to become like him, where Roger just wanted her to be herself, but the most hardass,

Well… we were all sort of curated.”

He might have strengthened his case if  Top Gun: Maverick weren’t basically a super-hero film. I mean, not capes and tights, but the superheroics were in full effect.

She gets into her parts. For Walking Dead, she worked with a swordmaster and martial arts. I think she goes the extra mile because she likes it and has fun with it.

Good. You can’t let one countries insane censorship laws dictate what the rest of the world can/can’t show in their movies.

While we’re doing redemption tours, they should bring Mel Gibson on for a Channukah special.

I didn’t realize I wanted this until you posted it, but now it’s all I can think of.

I’ll throw out another name, if they ever recast the role: Toheeb Jimoh from Ted Lasso. He’s ludicrously charming and has real screen presence and I would love to see him get a big blockbuster role.
