Westworld on its best day wasn’t on Deadwood’s level.

Oh so HBO is back to cancelling everything like Dead Wood and Rome. How did that work out back then?

She seemed pretty unhappy and is a shitty boss to the staff. I didn’t find any of her lines funny, but I guess some of that may have been the result of her accent throwing some of the comedic timing off.

I did not find anything enjoyable about the hotel manager (or any of the hotel’s staff for that matter). In the first season, it seems like they wrote it in a way that encouraged you to root for the staff (even when Murray was doing despicable shit, literally), but in this first episode it seems like the writing is

They had a deal recently where it was $20 for a year. There are a few reality shows one family member enjoys and the occasional decent movie. I can stomach $1.67/month for that.

Still pissed about GLOW getting axed.

I think you meant to post this on twitter

Just finished watching this brilliant episode. I’ll never understand why “Atlanta” isn’t THE number one show on television. No other show delivers this kind of quality while also taking such big risks and respecting their audience. The humor in the details was just mind blowing; yes, I got a big kick out of the glove

What I was hoping to see someone comment or write an article on is the network affiliation (FX is a part of the ABC/Disney conglomerate) which makes this move an even bolder one. It’s kinda like biting the hand that feeds you but it’s Disney, so it’s more than deserved. Donald (also see: Shonda Rhimes) gives zero effs

Goofy please

I loved Hannibal, but I’m not convinced that more of it would really be a good thing. Even in the time it had, the show felt like it was bumping up against the limits of the interesting things it could do with the core relationship. At some point, the audience gets that Graham and Lecter are both drawn to each other,

No chance; you wanted Corden, you’re keeping him.

Also mental illness doesn’t make you anti-semitic. Reminds me of Mel Gibson being drunk spewing anti-semitic stuff.  It’s like we all knew that’s what he really thought.

But who will design the worlds stupidest looking footwear now?!

Black nerds mostly, but also fuck you.

He'll be performing at CPAC next year.

Yeah, the 4:3 was another thing that made me think this was going to turn into some kind of horror episode. I honestly first thought it was something Hulu was doing.

Me too.  Germany has made some excellent TV films about their own difficult history (and not just the Nazi period), and most of them are never distributed outside Europe, so I’m glad to see Netflix picked this up.

IDK the dripping face meat scene at least feels Hooper to me. Scarred me for life.
