Not everyone is capable of separating the art from the artist. You’re not a bad person if you can, and you’re not a bad person if you can’t, but you might be a bad person if you call other people “childish, stupid, and self-congratulatory” for having a visceral reaction to seeing someone they despise shoehorned into a

Regarding Needful Things...how about this...now with the internet, the antagonist can get people from one state/town going to another state/town to do a random bit of mischief that leads to a larger showdown? Make it bigger with the same theme?? Possible??

Yeah I’m not sure how the logistics would best work out, same cast and/or same director for both, maybe just have similar looking actors- that could be kinda trippy. Like if Tom Hardy and Logan Thomas Green played parallel roles, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jessica Chastain, that sort of thing.

It’s not just you. Hollywood keeps trying to make Miles Teller into a charismatic leading man, and I just don't get it.

Whoever was making that newer adaptation needed someone to pull them aside and remind them that The Stand has a pretty simple narrative structure that depends heavily on the building momentum of the pandemic and collapse, and so doing a non-linear narrative structure that reveals all that right from the get-go sucks.

It kills me that they’ve never adapted it. That seems like the type of story where you could make a really good version of it for like $10 million, starring mostly unknowns.

Well, Mark Wahlberg isn’t in this movie, so it gets a higher grade than Father Stu. What are you complaining about here?

I said it before and I’ll say it again.  I really liked that movie.

Well, one man’s punchable is another man’s please sit on.

I have a theory that Whiplash would be an impossible movie to watch because of how brutal it is to the main character. But then they cast Miles Teller and you think “J K Simmons is going easy on this kid”.

Nah, you’re not alone. He had that long procession of interviews where he seemed to deliberately come across as an entitled asshole, an image that some of his former co-stars were all too willing to confirm. Maybe he’s matured since then, but if it wasn’t for Whiplash I don’t think I’d have any reservations about

You must have a thing for dudes with punchable faces

While every other kid I knew was reading Goosebumps, I was reading Stephen King. As an adult, I’m shocked my parents would let me read it. I suppose they were just happy I was reading something, and too lazy to pick up a Stephen King novel themselves to see how dark they could be. So in many ways, I feel like Stephen

I’ve always thought it would be really cool to do The Regulators and Desperation as concurrent series

I wouldn’t be surprised if they shut down the Redbox brand and used the machines to rent faith-based movies.

I don’t know if they had anything directly to do with it (I’m guessing this is more the publisher), but I know somebody who wrote one of the “Chicken Soup” series and had to fork out $50k of her own money to publish it. She did not make back nearly enough to break even.

Hell, I figure if anyone can keep a DVD rental business solvent in this day and age, it would probably be the financial geniuses who are apparently still able to make a profit selling motherfucking Chicken Soup for the Soul. But yeah, probably doesn’t bode well for their selection, unless you are interested in The

What a dumb fucking purchase

Jaysis, does this Laser guy always piss and moan about how everyone is his inferior and ignorant? Wasn’t he banned under another name?

no pun intended but i’m very morbidly curious.
