While I am entirely comfortable with the term ‘black’ (as a Black American) I am hardly offended by ‘African American’. The reason its so specific to the continent and not a country is that most ‘African Americans’ have little to no idea WHAT country our forefathers were from! Thanks to the international slave trade,

Yeah, I don’t see how we can lose with any of the currently running candidates. I just don’t want them to go too low and dirty up the others because they are all worthy.

Nah. She’s the one.

I felt that way about ‘The Lighthouse’, which shares Defoe. That is also the movie I thought about in skimming the above review (I fear spoilers). I guess all I can say is ‘uh-oh’.

Same.

WHY is Tom keeping sensitive files at work?!

Now that you mention it, it could have been Gerri because she would want there to be a clear timeline where Logan was dead and she was never ‘officially’ fired should one of the kids or his henchmen claim she was.

Absolutely underlines the theory that when someone is full of shit and a jerk, when they act like they are the most humble, sweetest and caring person it comes off as HOLLOW. I never thought he was a genuine person for one second. It always seemed like a bad act.

I refuse to watch anything with him in it. Haven’t had a problem doing that in the least. Yes, I have enjoyed all of the Wick movies, but I’ll pass on that series.

True, but I figured that was ‘pre’ the trailer, but you’re right.

This is from a month ago. She’s at 1:16....

I guess you haven’t seen the latest commercial for the movie...WW is in it. So, really, not a spoiler.

Yeah, this weird insistence that the cameos would have made these better or hits is freakishly out of touch.

I compare the gem that Perry Mason is to another CBS/Showtime abomination called ‘Penny Dreadful: City of Angels’. That took place around the same time (1938) and should be been just as interesting, but it looked cheap as hell and the story -- like a LOT of Showtime productions -- was repetitive, redundant and a bore.

I’m thinking at this point it must be a red herring as it SEEMS so obvious his dad had a hand in the murder. In the preview for next week, it appears they already show their hand about the father, so I’m hopeful its more twisted than we already think.

I noticed that too! My first post-college job was in Vernon (*shivers*) and I said the same to my viewing partner. I WISH Vernon looked like those foothills. As a matter of fact, with its rendering plant, fertilizer mounds and livestock killing floors, the REAL Vernon could easily fit into the show as a location for a

Strangely enough, I also was wishing for death halfway through that movie. Ugh, what a slog it was (except for Patricia Arquette who was brilliant!)
