No kidding. The console that brought us GamePass “sucked”? This has been my primary gaming machine for the last 7 years. Between GamePass and Cloud Gaming, I’m in no hurry to update to the Series X.

I don’t want to have to occasionally slow down my driving, so breeding and torturing them for profit is the clear the morally superior option.
Well I suspect 2024 is at least sooner than we’ll see Prime 4.
I played about 80 hours on Stadia(the only platform other than high-end PC that actually worked) when it first came out, and it was a decent enough game. I encountered some weird bugs over that 80 hours, but nothing really game breaking except having to restart a boss fight once because a boss got trapped behind an…
Weirdly all the wrong lessons were learned from Daredevil S2, which I think had the strongest structure of any Marvel Netflix show.
Weirdly, pretty much all the stuff with McKenna Grace uncovering her grandfather’s life and rebuilding his equipment is very fun, but seeing the actual original Ghostbusters is not, unless “hey remember this line from the original?” ad nauseam is your idea of fun.
“Now my assistant is asking if they mind waiting another half hour.”
Also Spengler giving Dana a purposefully disappointing “No” and using his equipment to measure her emotional reaction behind her back.
“Oh, but I woo-ed!”
The first act of Ghostbusters II is joke-for-joke way funnier than the original. All the stuff from Spengler’s ridiculously unethical experiments (“They think they’re here for marriage counselling, we’ve kept them waiting for three hours and have been gradually increasing the temperature in the room.”) to World of the…
Spengler feeding Venkman the numbers is such a great piece of subtle physical comedy.
the technically superior but narratively inferior second game.
And just my opinion, botw is not a Zelda game and it is not as good as people have convinced themselves.
I’d like to see a hand drawn 2D Metroid in the style of Super Metroid, but I’m not super interested in a return to pixel art.
For All Mankind is so, so good. It’s a crime that the AV Club doesn’t do individual episode reviews, but pastes it on to every best of list as if to say “we don’t understand why no one is talking about this fantastic show that we ourselves refuse to talk about!”
I’m surprised the review is so consistently negative - sure, it’s not a particularly innovative film or aspiring to be high art, but it captures the feel of the books and is fun! It’s a stylish and gory popcorn movie.
cat like physicality and sensuality
Were people confused, or did they just want it to be something it wasn’t (more than a wink and a smile)?
There is absolutely no reading of this dialogue where the audience does not assume that Natasha feels like a monster because she was sterilized.
I tried to go back to watching the original Ducktales after finishing up the first two seasons of the reboot on Disney+, and wow, it was rough. Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby all have super annoying voices.
Yeah, it’s so weird because they could have used designs closer to the comics and no one would have batted an eye, but this was absolutely a “get as close as legally possible to the MCU actors” and the end result it looks like the 90s Sunday Afternoon Syndicated TV version of the Avengers.
