I’ve discussed this at length with friends, and we’ve come to the conclusion that 25% of people can’t see the difference, and 50% of people don’t care. The other 25% are infuriated.

The first X-Men was a good superhero movie for 2000, the second one is definitely better, but neither have aged particularly well. Also, I just think Bryan Singer fundamentally misunderstands what's exciting and fun about the X-Men.
