This, thank you. I truly hate the “natural/unnatural” argument because it’s so arbitrary. Is medicine natural? Is building hundred-story skyscrapers natural? Is wearing clothing natural? What about Facebook, or the internet at all? It’s such a dumb way to judge anything.

Thank you for posting this! Wish the author would have included this fact in the article because it definitely changes the tone and implications.

Oh please, save your patronizing google talk, thanks. I’ve seen that article. The calorie isn’t broken, our understanding of it is. There are some great criticisms of that article out there but here’s one of the more comprehensive ones that I like:

Nope. If you still had the spare tire around your belly it would be because you were eating too many calories, not because of genetics at all.

Do you have any sources whatsoever to back up your claims? Because everything you’ve said sounds like made-up bullshit.

It really is that simple, though. If you eat fewer calories than you burn in a day, you will lose weight, no matter how “stubborn” your body is.
