Yeah it was the group's insistence on staying single that made the whole thing work for me. There's no reason to force people to be single, just as there's no reason to demand your single friends "settle down"
For the moment I'm into it enough to hope that Jess and Nick don't end up as together. Imagine a show where everyone in the group ends up with an outsider!
Noticed that too. It took me a second to figure that out since Zoey/Jess generally doesn't sing low parts.
Aly's insistence on JPEGs was my favorite.
Pimento ended up being my favorite part of last season so I very much hope he will return.
I felt legitimately upset by the visual of Jerry being shot. Doesn't matter that he was playing a completely different character. My first reaction was "Jerry! No!"
I know Cottonmouth is a villain but I'm glad he threw that dude over the roof for killing Pop. As the review said, it was telegraphed from the beginning that Pop was going to die but that didn't stop me from wishing he wouldn't.
I was wondering that. One of my favorite parts in the film is when they show all the various themed worlds in havoc. I'd like to see it repeated, even if most of the focus in on Westworld.
Honestly, I get the impression that Hopkins is sort of half-retired. He takes small roles continuously so he's always working but not overloaded with work. Not at all a commentary on Hopkins or his skill but he'll be 80 next year so I imagine quick, prestige parts are exactly what he wants.
Right now I think he's a long-term visitor who at one point refused to leave. He originally came to the park to act out his serial killer tendencies/rape fantasies without hurting "real" people and grew dissatisfied enough with the outside world he refused to go back.
Katy Sagal singing "Greensleeves"
I wasn't bothered by it seeming out of place so much as it felt forced. The show curses like a teen:cursing because they can without rhyme or reason.
No idea but I'm betting Anthony Hopkins dies before the end of this season. I don't imagine he or Harris would want to be stuck on a show long-term.
I enjoyed the Actress Round Table sketch in the same way I enjoyed the Alien Abduction and Near Death Experience sketches from last year. A group of people who seemingly have an experience in common find out one person among them has a shockingly different point of view.
"I came on this reality show specifically to make friends!"
I'm torn on this film. I don't want to see it but I want Gina Rodriguez to have a long career in film and television.
It was always odd how Cap falls for a relative of Peggy anyways. Making it Peggy and Steve again would have been great.
Nothing tares me up quite like Oskar Schindler's "I could have saved more." matched with his awe at the ring, nervously dropping it, rushing to pick it up, and putting it on with his hand raised.
Joaquin Phoenix is the only actor that I've actively sought out and watched their entire filmography. He has some terrible movies mixed in with great movies but his performances are always interesting.
