I don't understand if you question is meant to be sarcasm?
Then again, if you are discussing some celebrity child, why not ask nitpicky questions. Besides, the nitpicky question often includes fascinating models of linguistics/history/philosophy, the child does not.
I know that Americans use that in the military it is just kind of weird to have your time referred to as military time especially as most Europeans don't like the military.

You could open up a debate how none of these is inherently logical since they are based on a Western model of logic but my initial question was, hey, Americans, tell me the logical/historical/linguistic reason for this since you are the experts.

I don't know. I'm not an English speaker. But as far as I know, the US is in the minority of using the month/date/year formatting. For my own language 27th of December, 2014 would be the correct way.

I'm not upset. I find it sociologically and psychologically interesting. As for example the explanation that many Americans are very unaware of life outside of the US and are often confined to reacting in that mind frame of not understanding other cultures.
