I couldn't agree with you more.

Me either. Hell of a lot warmer than here, though! As for crime, I live in a small northern city and I swear it's the break in capital of Ontario! People have started getting mugged in broad day light. We all lock our doors and cars up. Never bothered to 5 years ago:)

Well, a lot of people hate Toronto because it's huge and a very expensive place to live and they really miss Montreal and it's joie de vivre and laissez faire vibe. Some Quebecois consider Ontario (and Toronto) too conservative. Your cousin sounds very hardcore. Never heard of a group like that! (I'm an ex Montrealer

People actually judge an entire country based on one city mayor and his followers? That's crazy.

People who don't like Toronto think he looks good on them.

A lot of Canadians don't like Quebec or Ontario. When I was growing up there was animosity between Ontarians and Quebecers. It might have calmed down now because many people had to move to Ontario over the years due to the job market. Now we all have to go where the jobs are so I'd like to think people have become

Hmm. That's an interesting thought.

Rather than get ourselves into trouble or our friends; we take taxis on our nights out or have a D&D. We don't want to hurt anybody:)

1 drink being considered a risk, 0.05? Your party host or beverage server being held accountable if you drive and get involved in an accident but they are unaware you've reached 0.08. The law is 0.05-0.07 being a risk. I'm not condoning driving "drunk" or even tipsy. If a cop even smells alcohol on your breath they

It gave me a chuckle.

I agree RBT is necessary, was very surprised to hear every State doesn't implement them. I'll probably get smacked for writing this, but I think the drinking and driving laws here in Ontario have gone too far. I can see some Americans being wary because its a slippery slope to an all- out infringement on their right

Totally accept your apology. The only thing that keeps me going is I don't want to devastate my partner (who finds me extremely lovable). I'm the only woman he's ever loved and wanted to marry (but I said no) I especially couldn't bear to hurt my ageing parents, they're 89, still very active and healthy. Then there's

Ha ha! Yeah, I was pretty riled up at first, but after a couple of more posts from you I got over it. You're not such a bad guy. Cheers.

I'm so sorry! I never meant to sound condescending. My sincere apologies. Nor did I get the impression you were young because you sounded to me like a mature and intelligent poster. When you wrote "single by obligation" I then thought it wasn't a preference. After reading your response to me I think I get it now.

Who cares if he is? They shouldn't.

You know, you might be amazed to learn that so many people are going through life feeling exactly the same way you do. They might appear as the the most bubbly and sociable people you'd ever meet.. Some people just hide their own feelings of misery and inadequacy deep down and its their awful little secret. Don't hold

Bahaa! That was great! Don't want to search for love again!

Thank you for your kind response. I haven't kept track of the Habs in a long time; but when I was younger we never missed Hockey Night in Canada! I remember going to the Habs-Nordic game in the 70's. Had a front row seat! Man, those were the days for us Montreal fans! Sorry to hear about your man Subban. Racism sucks

It doesn't take much! :)

In Northern Ontario, women's hockey is a big deal. Many women and their daughters play it. Schools offer scholarships. Girls join House Leagues as soon as they can skate. Unfortunately the teams don't have the money or the sponsorship to be in the media spotlight. When I was growing up a girl could never ever play.
