It’s “clickbait language”. Notice how the title of the article has no mention of the actual setting being altered? It’s to make you click through. It’s hardly any different to the “one cool trick” clickbait strategy.

Every big new game needs a “Settings you should change right away in [NEW GAME X]” post. Stay tuned for the “25 Things I Wish I Knew Before Playing [NEW GAME X]” and “How to Farm [X] In [NEW GAME X]” posts.

So weird to me how this is “you should change this” as if everyone would prefer what the author does

the flowers are cool and they are my friends. i will never silence them.

Also, like. It’s not “review bombing” if the criticism is legitimate. They’re just normal reviews.

If we can’t turn back the clock, then what can we do? We can keep adding to and improving Overwatch 2. That is how we move forward. This means more maps, heroes, game modes, missions, stories, events, cool cosmetics, and features—an ever-expanding, evolving, and improving game.

Ever expanding game in all the ways except you know, the ones we promised when we sold it to you.

I don’t think this is connected at all. Nintendo has always played it quite safe.

I dunno if I’d consider Denji an ‘incel’. He’s only 16, and he spent his time prior being abused by yakuza to pay off his father’s debts. He is extremely horny, sure, but he makes friends, and is mostly respectful (outside of some light sexual harassment :-/ ) of his female coworkers.

Or, they did it for just Japanese speakers to enjoy. Not everything is about trolling.

Two men can be friends and not gay. This idea that close male relationships need to be shipped is fucking toxic as hell and opposite of progressive.

The creators decided that you could not romance same sex people so it’s a fair assumption.

I would agree IF the article wasn't so laser-focused on a specific pairing that comes off as a bitter fan ship.

Here’s my, probably controversial, Hot Take: Forcing your idea of someone’s sexual orientation on someone is the same as misgendering them. It’s disgusting, gross, people don’t realize it’s just as harmful, and it’s hypocritical.

This is 100% the correct response. Maybe its a generational thing , but I kind of feel like someone needs to remand the internet that two guys or girls can be close without it being a sexual relationship . That “every character is automatically at least Bi” attitude around shipping is pretty insulting , especially for

Persona, a beloved and decades old series is homophobic for not letting a straight written protagonist romance boys?

I get where you are coming from. But implying that 2 dudes being friendly with each other should be gay also diminishes that 2 dudes can also be open with each other and trust each other in a way that isn’t “toxic masculinity”. What I mean to say is they are best friends who care about each other. Atlus definitely

Why is it necessary? why force it? I am a gay man I do not need every game or media to have a character that represents me, even less when is done JUST to include it without real heart or purpose. I never saw any of them as being gay, and never had the illusion of them being gay, they do not have a gay story, so why

Back in the mid-nineties when I was just starting out with VO work, my VO coach told me to pick one of those two VO ‘types’ so she knew how to market me to clients - I can’t imagine much has changed.

If you hire Seth Rogen to voice a character, you get...Seth Rogen. You gotta know that going in.
