So I’ve always been a big stickler for Perma-Death on, as that is what really drew me to the series originally as you actually cared about your units and it hurt you personally if you lost a single one. So I was against Casual Mode in the newer games.

Honestly they can do whatever they want to with it because it’s their property.

You should at least play Disgaea D2 as it is a direct sequel to the first game. Unlike the other Disgaeas I think they have gotten into a bad Final Fantasy-esq habbit of trying to reinvent the wheel each time. D2 just went back to the first game and expanded upon the gameplay system and story there.
