Some people I was watching with interpreted it this way. I interpreted it as a “man, this is fucking awkward” gulp.

It’s definitely suffering from the abbreviated season length. All these character developments that should have happened over the course of a season are being forced into happening in a single episode and it sucks.
She told Jamie she was pregnant before he left and he told Tyrion. It’s unclear as to whether she was lying to Jamie about being pregnant or was really pregnant and lying to Euron about being the father. If Euron was smart, Tyrion’s little speech would let him know that he’s maybe not the father of the maybe baby.
I don’t think he’s going back to be with her. There’s no way he could possibly think she’d take him back. He just talked to Bronn, whom she had sent to kill him. The only reason he could possibly be going back would be for confrontation.
I was so excited when Jamie was staying behind to support his partner’s career protecting Sansa. I didn’t really think it would last but it would have been nice.
I think this was will be known as “The War of the Mad Queens”
I agree. I think he's trying to make it easier for Brienne in the long run so she won't be pining after him forever since he's not planning on surviving.
My money is on murder-suicide.
I was thinking it was his clever way of letting Euron know that she was pregnant with someone else's baby. But I'm pretty sure Euron is too much of a dimbulb to pick up on it so maybe not.
It was the middle of the last season of Six Feet Under and my roommate and I had missed a few episodes so we were catching up before the finale and our other roommate (who knew we weren’t caught up) walked in and was like “is this before or after Nate dies?”. It’s been almost 15 years and I’m still pissed.
Came here to say this. It’s not an “ex” if death is what breaks you up.
It comes off very humble-brag-y. I do love babeville for concerts. I’ve seen the Mountain Goats there twice so I’m similarly biased.
I don’t even want him to get a death scene. I just want him to go away.
This is also my preferred plotline. I think Dany will lose her shit and try to kill one of Jon’s siblings, Jon will have to kill Dany and then he’ll either go mope as a hermit for the rest of his life or die doing something well-intentioned but stupid. Then Tyrion and Sansa will remarry and rule the shit out of the…
I agree. I think Jon/Dany are a red herring. Dany is going to end up turning into the Mad Queen — there’s just been too many hints of this for them not to take it anywhere. I think Jon will have to kill Dany in order to save someone he loves from her wrath. Then he’ll either mopily retire or die doing something…
And even if that wasn’t true wouldn’t Jon get the throne on the basis of being slightly older? I think he’s like 7 months older or something in the show.
I guess there was only dragon budget so RIP Ghost and every single Dothraki.
Yeah, I thought they were going to reveal what Bran was up to and maybe they still will. Or maybe it was just the three eyed raven equivalent of scrolling on his phone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Aren’t they already sort of dead in a sense?
I’m not disagreeing that it was some deus ex machina action but I thought Arya stole one of the whitewalker’s faces (since they’re already dead I guess that would be possible maybe?) and was just chilling in his crew until the right moment struck. I thought that moment was the point of having the whole face-stealing…
