Yeah, Shaunette Renee Wilson’s character deserved much better than she got. At least don’t kill her off.

We’ll have to agree to strongly disagree that Temple of Doom is a better movie than Last Crusade. ToD had some good action sequences but the rest was cringingly bad. When I saw it in the theater in its first run, I was so hype after the clever opening sequence and was gutted by how bad it was after that.

1. Trans women are women. They are also at risk for sexual assault. Trans women are routinely subjected to harrassment and assault in public bathrooms. Forcing them to use male restrooms makes them greatly less safe. The 97% of women stat you cite is not women being assaulted by cis-men dressed as women.
I loved the OG Riven. I’m excited to play this.
Even her favorite example, cis women who are assaulted by trans women in bathrooms, is a total non problem when compared with trans folk being harrassed and assaulted for daring to use a bathroom in public.
She was also arrested for domestic violence. If it weren’t for nepotism and whatever blackmail material she has on Ryan Murphy, she wouldn’t be working at all.
But getting the interview is most of the game in Hollywood. And if getting the interview isn’t a big deal, then the nepo babies should do just fine without their parent pulling strings to get them auditions.
I liked the CW because it had so much more genre content than the other networks. Like the network equivalent of sci-fi b-movies that occasionally strayed into something more.
Lindelof was so smart in the wake of Lost to have a show where the whole point is that there isn’t, and never will be, an explanation. I love how it critically and sympathetically examined our need for stories to frame and accept loss. In the end, it doesn’t matter if Nora’s story about her lost family is true, what…
She could pull it off
Krause is great and under-rated, but I think part of the metric for Louis Dreyfus is that she is both successful and lauded with awards. Using both those metrics, Ed Asner is a candidate. He won for both the comedy and drama versions of Lou Grant. Bryan Cranston would also be in the running.
Makes sense to try and cater to the folks who need a little catharsis after arguing with that MAGA uncle at xmas dinner. Nosferatu seems like a better fit for Halloween than GWaDT, but I get what you’re saying.
They certainly weren’t wrong!
Looks very promising but I can’t tell if a Christmas release is genius or whack
Jamie Lee Curtis as Stannis is some perfect casting. Kevin Hart as Roland on the other hand ...
I care about Frenchie’s subplot in the sense that I hate it with the heat of a thousand suns.
Oh, this was such wonderful book. I’ll be interested to see what they do with it.
Another vote for watching the series. I think you can find it on youtube. Just a great adaptation.
“Gender is spectrum” does not imply an even three way split. It merely states the truth that, well, gender is a spectrum. Even if most people identify as solely as a man or woman, there are those who fall in between in many varying ways.
