This show is such a treasure, I had worried that it was ignored because it doesn’t seem to get discussed much. The acting is top notch across the board, especially McClarnon. The scenery alone would be worth the watch though. 

Yes, this! They conviently ignore that people can be black and trans! But they’re not interested in how Caitlyn Jenner’s experience differs from Laverne Cox’s. They are only interested is refusing the same support to Cox that they would to cis folks. 

Walter White was supremely unlikable, so much so that I peaced out of after the first season and only came back after people told me it had improved. I wouldn’t say Draper was likeable either, just charming and watchable. 

That abortion thing was so weirdly written too. It clearly wasn’t a character making that decision according to their personality and beliefs as presented in the work, it just swerved in out of nowhere as authorial commentary. There was a similar random thing with Israel is the later comics, iirc.

I thought all parts of a trial became part of the public record, with exceptions being made for material involving minors or the identity of victims/informants/classified information. During a trial, the release of info may be limited but they are those restrictions are usually lifted after the trial.

I also think the adult shows play into the themes of the younger kids. Rita and the elders from the previous ep are dealing with similar trauma that was incurred at the same age as the teens.
