It’s literally out of the abusers playbook. From a book everyone should read (especially the people thread), Lundy Bancroft’s “Why Does He Do That?” in the section about warning signs.

This is true.

I mean, you can turn it off or leave it at home. But I agree that’s it’s nice to have solitude when you want it.

Because folks on these threads seem to desperately need it:

LOL “Don’t you want to keep paying a lot of money for something you’ll never use or need?” It’s depressing to think there are folks out there who might fall for that.

It’s controlling behavior no matter the gender

I know there’s been a lot of confusion and debate around a rookie, easily avoidable mistake, which, as a seasoned professional working with professionals through rehearsals on art to be viewed in various lenses. A seasoned professional who’s had to apologize for previous racist behavior. It’s an unforced error.

The Tar Pits aren’t at Exposition Park. Or do you mean in LA? Because yeah, it is great having all the shit locally. And Exposition Park is has a lot of great stuff even without the Tar Pits.

Yeah, two click is perfectly good, and it should be in an easily accessible, obvious place on the website, not buried beneath layers of menus.

By going through rehearsals to see how the makeup plays under different lighting and filming conditions, with the understanding of how things will play visually and culturally. Again, it’s not rocket science. I’m not saying she was wrong to wear green make-up, I’m saying that as an experienced performer, it was a dumb

Nice to see Robert Jackson Bennett get some love, I feel like he’s a bit under-rated. Although I did like the Divine Cities Trilogy more than the Founders Trilogy

This is clear proff she has no black friends of staff, because they would say “Um, I know this isn’t what you were going for, but it’s not going to read the way you want it to ...”

Both homeless white people and white privilege exist. This is a simple, obvious fact. The suffering of white homeless people who are struggling does not erase the fact of white privilege in society. I work for a non-profit that provides services to the homeless and yesterday helped get 40 folks from an encampment into

Absolutely nobody mocked the dying and homeless. The idea that recognizing white privilege and white power structure is somehow disrespectful to the homeless is the stupidest thing I’ve heard in a long time. It’s quite possibly the biggest strawman in the history of strawmen. The fact that there are white homeless

You’re totally right, I’m sure why people are disagreeing with you. She’s a performer planning a performance with visuals. It’s not rocket surgery to have someone take a look in rehearsals as point out that it doesn’t read well on stage.

Recognizing white privilege means you hate the homeless? I mean, I’ve heard dumb arguments for white supremacy, but this one takes the cake.

Classic!

I am also fond of the Stark Tech demonstration with Tony posturing in the foreground from Iron Man. Mostly because it’s also a great bit of character building.

No, it made absolutely no change in your ability to refuse service to Republican Senators. You could do so before the ruling! What it did change is the ability to discriminate against protected classes like LGBTQIA+. Spinning as “good for everyone” is false nonsense.

MAGA is not a protected class. You were always free to refuse. This takes away protections for you, not them.
