Where I live, teachers must have first responder training. Of course, call 911, but if you’re around students you should know the basics of how to respond until help arrives.

I mean, my kid swims competitively and I live in South Florida, where we know from hot. The coaches make sure every kid has a water bottle and they make sure everyone stops every 15-20 minutes and drink, and they’re in the water. In the heat, it’s so easy to get heat stroke even when you think you wouldn’t.

You don’t have to have first responder training to play football, so I can’t hold the players responsible. The staff should have definitely known better, and been human enough to about the player.

I’m sure that over the course of her swimming career, my daughter will lose to many different swimmers who have a variety of different advantages. If she were to be bigoted against trans women and girls she might compete against for any reason, and feel like she deserved to win because she happens to be cis (TTBOMK), t

Lots of athletes have unfair biological advantages over others in their same class. My 12 year old daughter is 5'10" and she swims competitively against other 12 year old girls who are barely 5'. Is she cheating by virtue of having tall parents?

Life and competition aren’t fair. Get over it. We as a society are better

Until rather recently, some people thought that “women’s sports” meant “white women’s sports,” even though that wasn’t explicitly said. Those people were wrong, just like the people who want to exclude trans women. Women’s sports are for all women.

Maybe Telfer was not a disciplined athlete prior to her transition because she was struggling with the decision to transition.

You did it again. They’re not trans athletes, they’re trans women athletes.

“I think you are being too dismissive of the arguments against trans athletes competing against women.”

Except, trans women are women.

You’re not being oversensitive. See Diana Moskowitz’s piece for this very publication entitled “Against Allegedly.”

Find a Latin grocery. Buy a case of Topo Chico for $12. Go home and drink it all. Burp a lot. Repeat.

Oh, agreed. Hillary gets all kinds of (well-deserved) glory, but Mallory and Irvine deserve it as well.

Yeah, Irvine’s ax was found, and they even found their camp site, but not his body.

I go to Tropicana Field all the time (like every week or so) and often get day of game tickets behind the net, because it’s the Rays. After about 5-10 minutes, I don’t notice it. Your eyes just adjust.

It was found in 1999, facedown and arms spread. He had evidence of rope-jerk injury around his waist, so it seems that Mallory and Irvine were roped together when one of them fell and pulled the other along. He also had a big hole in his forehead, which might have been caused by his own axe.

Men have the ability to be responsible for their own contraception. If you don’t want to be a father, get a vasectomy. If you want to be a father later but want to fuck around now, put some sperm aside in a sperm bank and then get a vasectomy. But what you don’t get to do is sweet fuck all and then complain that a

Scouting USA happened because 1) the Mormon church withdrew their kids from BSA and 2) they needed to get more kids in so they could pay off the countless young men who were molested in BSA. They don’t want girls, they want the revenue girls bring.

10/10 would read.

Her father negotiated a 4% cut of all her residency revenue, so not just her appearance fee but merch as well. If she doesn’t work, he doesn’t get paid. Plus, he was a deadbeat dad which was a huge reason Lynn Spears tried to get acting work for the kids.

I heard someone say (on the radio while I was half asleep) that this was a Chase Utley situation but I really don’t think it is. It was just a freak accident.
